If they are made from bamboo why does the material description say 95% viscose, 5% elastane? Needs correction?
Answer: Bamboo viscose is made from the cellulose of bamboo. It is extracted from the plant and turned into bamboo chips. These chips are soaked in sodium hydroxide and carbon disulfide to make wood pulp. The pulp is extracted through the use of spinnerets and then solidified using sulfuric acid. With the viscous consistency removed, it is then spun and combed into threads that are woven into fabric. -

Answer: Not to my knowledge. I have a skin condition, so anything like formaldehyde will aggravate my condition. Even after washing, there is no color run and they still fit comfortably.
