    Answer: The charcoal water filter should be replaced every 60 days or after 60 uses, whichever comes first

    Answer: A medium-fine grind is recommended for proper flavor extraction.
  • Question: Why does the plate beneath the carafe rust?

    Answer: The plate problem persists even after not placing the carafe on the plate while it's warm and wiping it down with paper towel. This shouldn't be happening.
  • Question: How tall is this coffee pot? Anything above 14 inches won't work on my counter. Thank you

  • Question: Why won't the lid drain

    Answer: Depress the lid to pour or to clean it. You have to unscrew the lid a little to pour and then close it again to keep it hot. This is how the machine is meant to be used.

    Answer: No, it is not necessary to use charcoal filters for the function of the coffeemaker.
  • Question: Can you use a paper filter instead of the gold mesh that comes with the coffeemaker

    Answer: Yes, you can use a paper filter inside the gold mesh but the gold mesh works perfectly. To avoid making a mess, brew only a small amount of coffee.

  • Question: If you buy your own paper filters at the store, is there a certain size to get? I never had the cone-shaped filters before. The manual doesn't say.

    Answer: The small size will work fine up to eight cops. If you are doing more, it probably is best to use the larger size.
