Central to the film's impact is Holly Hunter's performance, which has garnered significant praise from viewers. Many find her portrayal of a grieving mother who embarks on a journey to understand her son's suicide to be both powerful and deeply engaging. For fans of Hunter, this film is recommended, as her performance is deemed the primary reason to watch, driving the narrative forward through her character's emotional exploration. Despite Holly Hunter's outstanding performance, some viewers express their disappointment with the film's execution, suggesting that the script, while possessing Considerable potential, ultimately falls short. Viewers highlighted that many minor details detract from the overall plot development, leading to distractions that affect the movie's pacing and engagement. Even among those who acknowledge the poignant themes being explored—such as the long-term psychological impact of suicide on loved ones—the slow narrative and lack of action may not resonate with all audiences. Overall, "Strange Weather" has been described as reflective and true to life, with its contemplative approach appealing to certain viewers, augmenting its emotional weight. While some viewers may not find it compelling enough for a second watch, those who appreciate a strong, character-driven story revolving around grief may find value in this film—especially if they are fans of the leading actress. **Pros and Cons** **
