HighTechPet Doors Editorial Review
** Armor Flex Air Tight Aluminum Frame Low-E Patio Pet Doors** The Armor Flex Air Tight Aluminum Frame Low-E Patio Pet Door has garnered attention for its robust design and functionality, particularly in extreme weather conditions. Customers who installed this door have noted a significant reduction in air leakage compared to traditional models, making it a worthwhile investment for maintaining indoor climate control. Reviewers from climates as hot as Las Vegas have praised the door's performance in keeping heat out, highlighting that their energy bills remained stable during the sweltering summer months. The installation process appears to be straightforward, although some users have reported challenges. Many appreciate the solid Construction and innovative locking mechanisms that enhance security. The door's magnetic sealing effectively prevents blowouts during windy days, providing reassurance against unwanted drafts. However, customers did note potential issues with the screws included in the package, with some experiencing breakage during installation, leading to frustration and extra expenses. Despite favorable feedback about the pet door's general durability, there have been reports of parts breaking down after a year or two, particularly the flap itself. Some users expressed disappointment that such an expensive product would wear out quickly. There is also a general Consensus that while the weather stripping serves its purpose, enhancements could be made for improved insulation. Overall, the Armor Flex patio pet door is well-received for its effective sealing and sturdy design, although potential buyers should Consider the need for additional weather treatments and be prepared for possible hardware limitations during installation. **
