Nutritionist's Take
Optimum Nutrition Amino Energy is a popular pre-workout supplement that combines amino acids, BCAAs, and energy-boosting ingredients like green tea and green coffee extract. The presence of BCAAs (branched-chain amino acids) may help in muscle recovery and reducing exercise fatigue, which is beneficial for athletes and fitness enthusiasts. However, the caffeine content from green tea and coffee extracts is something to consider; while it can enhance performance, excessive intake may lead to jitters or increased heart rate for some individuals. The product is keto-friendly, appealing to those on a low-carb diet. Ingredient quality is generally high, but consumers should be aware of the added sweeteners and flavorings. Overall, while it can be a useful supplement in moderation, it's essential to balance its use with a well-rounded diet for optimal health benefits.
Optimum Nutrition BCAAs 1047377 Editorial Review
Optimum Nutrition Amino Energy Powder, Strawberry Lime, 9.5 Oz is designed to provide a refreshing boost of energy, making it ideal for pre-workout or a midday pick-me-up. Users appreciate its easy mixability and great flavor, with many enjoying the Strawberry Lime taste, which makes hydration more enjoyable. The powder contains branched-chain amino acids, green tea extract, and caffeine, contributing to energy management and focus. Most reviews highlight a clean energy boost without jitters, making it a preferred choice for workout enthusiasts. However, it's noted that the fine powder can become airborne during mixing, potentially creating a mess.
