The VIISAN A3 scanner has received mixed responses from customers. Some of the positive notes were that the scanner can go up to 1200 resolution and it moves at a steady speed. Moreover, it is Mac-compatible with some effort to locate the driver, and the scan quality is generally good. The scanner also has an option to detect separate items and can scan them individually or as a collection. However, customers have reported that the scanner is noisy and makes a squeaking noise as it scans. The manual is written for Windows only, and the software on the disk is also for Windows. The scans also seem to have streaks of missing pixels throughout. In addition, the product is not useful for scanning fluorescent markers.
