It is important to note that the inserts screw into a 1/2" hole and accept a 3/8" bolt, which provides a tight fit that may cause a board to split if inserted near the end. Some customers reamed the holes to make the inserts go in easier but noted some were then too loose. Despite some minor issues with installation, the kit met the expectations of the majority of customers who left reviews.
