It's small (1.45 inch/3.7cm diameter opening) but big enough for small pets like shrimp, betta, dwarf gourami, or small frogs or toads. However, customers noted that the paint comes off easily when washed with water, and some pieces of clay are inside that may be harmful to some fish. Some pets got stuck inside the hole and were injured or died. Overall, if you decide to purchase this product, it is important to check for clay pieces and sand down the rough edges that may harm your pet. It would also be best to cover the small holes with aquarium silicone to prevent any accidents from happening.
