It is made of sun-cured alfalfa meal as the first ingredient and does not contain any extra junk that pets don't need. This makes it not only a good nutritional option for guinea pigs but also an affordable one. You can add a few toppers to make it more interesting for your piggie. Even though this product is good for guinea pigs, it is not an option for rabbits since their nutritional needs are different. The 25lb bag of this product can last for a year for two full-grown guinea pigs based on a customer's experience. Some customers complained about the food arriving powdery and half the bag being powder while others said it's a great value for the money, and their guinea pigs loved it. There were a few complaints about the bag being ripped, taped together, moldy, and customers' pets not touching the food, but these complaints seem to be in the minority.
