What are the Independent Genuine Parts 18 Risers used for?

The Independent Genuine Parts 18 Risers are designed to elevate your skateboard trucks, providing improved performance and enhancing your riding experience. By using risers, skateboarders can prevent wheel bite, allowing for sharper turns and better maneuverability. They're particularly useful for riders who enjoy tricks or need additional clearance for larger wheels.

What materials are the 18 Risers made from?

These risers are typically crafted from high-quality polyurethane, which offers durability and resilience under pressure. This material not only absorbs shocks from landings but also maintains shape over time, enhancing the overall longevity of your skateboard setup. Riders looking for reliability and performance will find these risers an excellent choice.

How do I install the Independent 18 Risers on my skateboard?

Installing the Independent 18 Risers is straightforward. Begin by loosening the bolts of your skateboard trucks. Place the risers between the deck and the truck base, aligning the holes. Reinsert and tighten the bolts firmly to secure the risers in place. This setup is ideal for those wanting to customize their ride height or enhance stability.

Will the 18 Risers fit all skateboard sizes?

The Independent 18 Risers are suitable for a wide range of skateboard sizes, provided you have compatible trucks. They are particularly effective for standard skateboard setups. Riders should ensure that their trucks support the risers' height to maximize performance, especially those who opt for larger wheels or do tricks.

Can I use these risers for longboards?

While primarily designed for standard skateboards, Independent 18 Risers can be used on longboards if the truck setup allows for it. They provide increased ground clearance and stability, which is advantageous in longboarding scenarios, especially when riding on uneven terrain or during downhill runs. However, always verify compatibility with your longboard trucks.

Do these risers affect my riding stability?

Yes, using the Independent 18 Risers can positively impact your riding stability. By raising the truck height, they enable a more upright posture, improving balance during trick execution. This is particularly beneficial for riders looking to gain confidence in their maneuvers or those engaging in downhill skating where balance is crucial.

Are Independent 18 Risers suitable for beginners?

Absolutely! Independent 18 Risers are great for beginners as they offer enhanced stability, making the learning process smoother. They help prevent wheel bite, allowing for more freedom in riding and performing tricks. New skateboarders will appreciate the added control, reducing the likelihood of falls while mastering basic skills.

What is the height of the Independent 18 Risers?

The Independent 18 Risers typically have a height of 18mm, providing an optimal balance between performance and maneuverability. This height is ideal for riders who want to increase their wheel clearance without excessively raising their skateboard, making them a popular choice for various riding styles and preferences.

Can these risers be used for street skating?

Yes, the Independent 18 Risers are suitable for street skating. They provide the necessary height and clearance, enabling you to navigate over curbs and obstacles with ease. Street skaters looking to enhance their setup will benefit from the stability and maneuverability these risers offer while executing tricks in urban environments.
