Bandai Namco Games 11055 Editorial Review

Ridge Racer Unbounded - Playstation 3 delivers a unique racing experience that feels reminiscent of classic high-octane games like Burnout and Split Second. Players will enjoy its destructible environments, which offer thrilling opportunities to blast through obstacles with clever timing of turbo boosts. While the game's graphics receive high marks for their impressive detail, capturing the chaos of destruction without compromising frame rates, some players note that its challenging nature and steep learning curve may not be for everyone. The simplified controls enhance the gameplay experience, allowing players to focus on racing without excessive button combinations. However, fans of the original Ridge Racer series may find the Americanized overhaul not to their liking.
