This charger is rated at 3 amps and recommended for batteries with a capacity of 30-60AH. -

The JAC0348-R is a 48V, 3A Schauer Battery Charger/Maintainer for battery systems up to 40AH in capacity. This charger/maintainer is not suitable for golf cart batteries as they are typically too large (150-200AH) and would burn the charger out. Instead, a JAC0348MAN maintainer is recommended as it is designed for battery systems up to 300AH. The charger can be left connected indefinitely to maintain the batteries' healthy voltage during storage without causing damage. The charger should not be used with batteries much larger than 40AH to avoid burning out. The charger works well with 35AH AGM batteries and maintains a voltage of approximately 54.72V on a 48V pack. The ring terminals can be permanently attached to the battery, and the charger plugged in when needed. The charger works quietly, and the customers are satisfied with its performance in various battery systems, including golf carts.
