Alxum KVM Switches Editorial Review
The Alxum DP 1.4 KVM Switch is receiving a decidedly positive reception from customers who seek efficient switching between multiple computers without the inconvenience of dealing with multiple peripherals. Users appreciate its solid Construction, highlighted by a metal casing that gives the device a durable feel. The performance, especially with video quality, meets the expectations for users aiming to run high-resolution tasks. Most notably, customers have reported seamless switching between their systems, including both PCs and Macs, with minimal lag during transitions. Users have successfully integrated this KVM switch into their setups using various peripherals, such as keyboards, mice, and storage devices, praising its ample USB 3.0 ports that aid in connecting multiple accessories. The inclusion of a remote desktop switch adds a layer of convenience, allowing users to toggle systems effortlessly without disrupting their workspaces. A common theme among reviews is the clarity of the video output, ensuring no flickering or noticeable lag even when using high-performance displays. Nevertheless, some users have expressed a few minor grievances, such as the need to switch back to the external speakers on Mac systems after switching from PC mode—which is largely an issue with macOS rather than the KVM itself. Another noted concern pertains to the length of the power adapter cord, with users wishing for a more extended option to suit their setups better, although this is easily worked around with extensions. Overall, the Alxum KVM Switch is praised for its practicality in decluttering workspaces and providing a reliable solution for users juggling multiple computers, making it a worthy investment for those looking to enhance their productivity without excessive setup complexity. **
